OTC Client Packages

thumbnail for this post

The Open Telekom Cloud is an offering from Deutsche Telekom for “Software as a Service (SaaS)” and cloud infrastructure solutions (IaaS, PaaS). OTC enables companies of every size to have access to numerous business applications and state-of-the-art cloud infrastructures. Companies can find innovative software solutions for typical business applications, test them free of charge, and lease them on a flexible basis. It is hosted in Germany and meets German data privacy policies.

There is a CLI tool called python-otcclient you can use to automate management tasks for you tenant. It provides common interface to operation and DEVOPS teams to manage their cloud services. On top of that, the language implementations (Python at the moment) are secure and relatively fast.

I’ve built packages for openSUSE Leap 42.2 and SLE 12 SP2, they’re available here.

Note: you’ll need to enable the devel:languages:python repository in YaST.

Update, 19/Nov/17: Leap 43.2 package is available too. Update, 3/Feb/18: Additional SUSE, RHEL, CentOS, ScientificLinux, and Fedora packager are available. Full list of distros:
